Time for a tea break!

Inspired by a friends baking photo's on pinterest I baked some delicious goods! Todays tasty treats are chocolate viennese cookies: original recipe can be found at Iced Gem Bakes. I've modified the recipe somewhat, instead of cornflour (which unfortunately had been raided by a slug) I used some plain old gluten free flour, Tesco "baking fat" (dairy free) and dipped in 70% chocolate with soy milk. So gluten free, and almost dairy free!I made them a wee thicker then they're meant to be - cookie cakes! They went down well though. Definitely need to invest in a piping nozzle for the next bunch.

Colour theory based mood boards

At the moment I am studying for a dip in Fashion and Image Styling one night a week at a local college. This blog springs forth from the research I am doing for this course, and things I think are noteworthy in my life, as well as my recent obsession with Pinterest. I also have another blog for my art work: Sincere Fallacy. The following collages/ mood boards arose from a colour theory assignment.

Rave on, Princess!

My friend was having a big techno night out recently and I did the make up for her- big fun! So was her night- and her make up still intact when she rocked up home in the wee hours of the morning!

Big Yella Beanie

This is a recent project of mine- Now the third hat I've made. Each I've made is too small really but this one is much bigger! If I remember rightly I knit on 100 stitches of wool onto 7mm bamboo needles and knit 4 purled for a rib. And unfortunately, made it up as I went along again.

Handmade knitted hood scarf

This is a handmade knitted hood scarf, knitted with Marble Chunky wool in "Berries" on 12mm needles. The hood is knitted separately and then attached to a cable knit scarf. It's a secret recipe I'm afraid- not because I don't want to share but because I didn't take note of what I was doing as I was doing it! I am hoping to make more with a view to selling on etsy- when I do I'll be sure to update with a pattern!
